How Do I...?

Emergency Management

Emergency Management is a function of the Operations Department and is managed by the Executive Director of Operations. Emergency Management develops, implements and maintains the Borough's emergency operation plans and standard operating procedures for large scale incidents and events.  Emergency Management exists to support our first responders and all emergency personnel. The department consists of Police, Fire, EMS, Borough Administration and Public Services personnel, in combination with our Borough Council.

Our goal is to ensure our Emergency Teams have/can access the equipment and resources they need to respond to emergencies. Our biggest objective overall is to prepare the community for large scale emergency situations.

Emergency Management Tools & Alerts

Blazemark

The Borough of Conshohocken utilizes Blazemark, a secure, cloud-based application, which enables preplanning for potential emergency incidents. Blazemark allows the Borough to gather and store critical building information that includes site and occupant considerations, water supplies, fire protection systems, special hazards, emergency operations, and pre-incident plan testing and maintenance. The system helps assist our local firefighters, police officers, medical technicians, etc., with building familiarization to ensure more efficient and timely response time.

We recommend that all businesses, corporations, schools, etc., within the Borough of Conshohocken schedule an onsite meeting with one of our Emergency Management members so that we may register any new site plans or update existing plans already on file. Please contact the Administration Assistant of Operations at 484-238-6069 or email swylesol@conshohockenpa.gov to schedule an appointment.

Emergency Alerts

Emergency Management supports many emergency activities within the Borough of Conshohocken such as the CodeRED emergency alerts system. These alerts include important information on both emergency and non-emergency related incidents. In addition to CodeRED, individuals have a multitude of emergency communication apps at their disposal through Montgomery County, PA.

CodeRED and all Montgomery County emergency communication applications are free of charge to the user. We recommend you to familiarize yourself with these options and make use of them, so you can be better prepared in an emergency.
