The Civil Service Commission enforces the rules and regulations approved by Borough Council. The Commission conducts examinations and certifies qualified applicants for positions and promotions within the Police Department; and conducts hearings for police officers that appeal a suspension, removal or reduction in rank in the Police Department.
New appointments and re-appointments usually occur in December or January annually.

Meetings are open to the public and interested parties are encouraged to attend. Remote meeting information, including video and audio participation, is advertised on the Borough’s website under News.
