The Borough of Conshohocken is accepting applications for a part-time Summer Camp Director in the Department of Recreation Services. The Seasonal Camp Director plans, implements, and manages the overall camp program, approves all camp activities, and hires camp staff. He/She is responsible for communicating with parents, guardians, teachers, and counselors and other camp staff prior, before, during and after the summer camp. The position runs from January through August in a part-time capacity, or as instructed by the Director of Recreation Services. Candidate must: be at least 25 years of age; have supervisory experience; college level course work in elementary or secondary education is a plus; ability to motivate staff; previous experience working in a camp setting or teaching is highly regarded; must have and maintain acceptable background clearances; maintain current Red Cross or equivalent CPR, AED and First Aid Certifications. Candidates must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office; have excellent communication and writing skills; and a demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service. Must be able to stand for periods of time and set-up and breakdown tables, chairs and other recreational apparatuses or items required for camp programs.
